Isnt it funny how the hero Albert Hill has been relagated to just a picture and no comentary ... Could it be becasue I made a comment that the writer of the origional piece was incorrect in stating that albert hill lived for the remander of his life in tameside. Albert hill emmigrated to the USA and lived in Rhode Island. Yes the comment when the blue plaque was put up in dneton was that Albert Hill had no living relatives in Tameside so some big shot form the local historical societ unvieled the plaque... Funny isnt it... I lived in so did my Mother, My sisters live in tameside, my uncle and aunty live in tameside. Well considering my great grandmother was Ms Hill Just so happens she was his niece.. Give this hero the recognition he deserves..

   no tamesider will ever forget the horror of those poor children, it could have been any one of us,we were always out and about away from home..may they rest in peace..
