MRS Mary Carter of Lodge Street, Accrington, has died aged 93 in Belvedere Nursing Home, Accrington.
The wife of the late Daniel Carter, she was a shopkeeper in Lodge Street, Accrington, for over 25 years, selling greengroceries and wet fish.
When she was younger she enjoyed walking, cycling and caravanning, and she leaves a family of many nephews and nieces.
She was cremated at Accrington on Wednesday 9 July following a service conducted by the Rev Ken Fitzsimmons.
