PEOPLE who are bonkers about butterflies or mad
about moles can have a wild day out this weekend with the Wildlife
Trusts.
From 10.00am to 5.00pm on Saturday April 30 and 11.00am until
4.00pm on Sunday May 1, nature fans have the chance to learn about
their local nature reserves and how they can get involved in
supporting wildlife in the Stockport area.
The event takes place at Pets at Home, Didsbury Road, Stockport.
Call 0161 475 0880 for more information.

LONGFORD Park, in Stretford, plays host this
weekend to the imaginatively titled Longford Park International
Festival.
Sunday's event, the fourth of its kind, draws its inspiration from
the local community.
There will be a dance stage, a world music stage and craft
stalls.
New for 2005 are dance workshops such as Capoeira, that Brazilian
twirly martial arts thing you see on the BBC before your favourite
programme.
There is also classical Indian Bharatanatyam and sword dance
moves.
Last year's event was attended by thousands of people.
Organiser Tim Manley says: "There will be same great range of world
food and stalls on offer this year, but anyone who attended last
year will be pleased to know we will definitely be ordering more
portable toilets."
It starts at 1pm and finishes at 6pm. Entrance is free.
Call Mr Sasha Essuah-Mensah on 0161 912 5597 for more
information.
Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding through the glen. Robin Hood,
Robin Hood with his band of men. Feared by the bad, loved by the
good. Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Robin Hood...
The Bowmen of Bruntwood are inviting members of the public to try
their hand - and eye - at archery on Bank Holiday Monday between
noon and 4.30 pm.
But fear not, you don't need to travel to Nottingham to get all of
a-quiver.
Bruntwood Park, in Cheadle, is the scene for this archery
action.
Young and old are welcome and this excitement is yours for a mere
£1, which will get you six arrows.
