Soapbox: Relationships on the rocks in the Rovers
by Rachel Broady11/ 8/2005
CORONATION STREET There are relationships on
the rocks ... Sean's date with Tim ends abruptly when the vet's ex
turns up and he rushes after him. You should never trust a man who
puts thermometers up dog's bottoms for a living.
Vera leaves Jack! She moves into the Baldwin's and waits for her
husband to call and beg her to come home but he's too busy enjoying
the single life.
But romance could be on the cards for one Weatherfield woman. Gail
and Eileen are fighting over the local reflexologist. Then Eileen
books an appointment for a foot massage that interrupts Gail's
plans for a night in with the foot doctor. Should a cat fight
ensue, my money's on Eileen she looks like she could knock Gail's
lights out.
Meanwhile, Shelley doesn't think the surgery has made any
difference and refuses to come out of her bedroom. Am I the only
one who thinks Charlie should lock her in there and throw away the
key? Instead he seduces a woman in the Rovers' living room and then
dumps Shelley. But his leaving gives her the strength to go to the
doctor...maybe the scriptwriters are finally as bored as we
are.
EMMERDALE Scott knows that he's very impotent. He
confides in Kelly who is bound to tell the whole village that the
dozy mechanic can rev his engine but can't get out of first gear.
But she has other plans first - seducing Ethan being one of
them.
Louise is trying to put things right with Terry but just ends up
slumped in a corner watching sorrowfully as he puts things right
with Dawn. Louise flips but, because there aren't any vases to use
as murder weapons nearby, she cuts up Matthew's suits.
Comrade Jarvis has returned to his revolutionary ways. He calls a
union meeting for the workers oppressed by the Kings, and Carl
warns him that such actions could put the whole team in jeopardy.
Will there be a picket line in the village?
EASTENDERS The Bermuda Triangle is less effective
than Chrissie at getting rid of people - so why have the police
only just got around to investigating Den's disappearance? Sam is
questioned by police. Just lock the handcuffs she can't act well
enough to fool the police.
