Soapbox: Jamie is the last to know the truth
Rachel Broady6/10/2005
CORONATION STREET Jamie is the only one who
doesn't know Leanne has bonked his dad. There must be people in
Albert Square who have twigged what's going on there by now!
But there is a genuine shock in store for Frankie when Sunita lets
slip that she slept with Danny before his missus arrived. Then she
vents her anger on Carol who could spill the beans and destroy the
Baldwin clan for good.
Steve really fancies one of his cab drivers. No, Les isn't getting
lucky with a McDonald, Steve is smitten with Ronnie and she must
feel the same.
Even after waking in his flat and finding Liz in the kitchen, she
doesn't run away screaming. In fact the pair get on well. (I
assumed Steve would end up dating Lloyd's girlfriend Kelly because
she's Karen mark two). Then her violent ex hubby turns up to make
life worse... for Lloyd.
But things aren't too good for Steve either who also wakes in his
flat to find his mother - this time wandering around in her nightie
with a toy boy in tow.
Sarah admits to her gran that she wouldn't trust Phil as far as she
could throw him and for once the usually stupid girl is talking
sense. Still Gail never did worry about her children's opinions of
her men so tries to start a relationship anyway. Sarah sulks, David
plays intrusively loud music and Phil walks out. No one checks
Phil's fingernails for dirt.
EMMERDALE Donna is having doubts about her
wedding. Well, she probably would have been seduced by Max had he
not gone up in flames! But, amusingly, one look at Marlon makes her
want to wed.
Ethan, meanwhile, conducts his first funeral and is under pressure
to give a good send-off. He'll be in trouble if Laurel sits near
the front, then.
Val is up in court after Diane dobbed her in. Val wants to plead
guilty for a minimised sentence while Paul wonders if his aunty can
cope with the guilt. She's as hard as nails, that one. I'm
surprised she wasn't one of the bailiffs after Val in the first
place!
And Alice has cancer. Yes, just has life got a little happier for
Sam, the scriptwriters decide to give his wife and baby a
potentially terminal illness. Sam's face will flop even
further.
EASTENDERS There is a battle over ownership of the
Vic. Peggy calls Grant for help. Johnny Allen promotes Billy. Nana
Moon's being flaky. The déjà vu is literally making me sick.
