14/ 5/2008

A NURSE from Stalybridge who escaped Burma’s military regime fears there could be an uprising against the government in the cyclone-devastated nation.

Campaigner Thant Tun fears the situation in Burma, where 22,000 people have already been confirmed dead in the storms, could get even worse.

Best of luck to Thant Tun. What is happening in Burma is truely awful and the leadership needs to be removed so that its citizens get the aid that they deserve.
