I would like to wholeheartedly support Innocent 's struggle to remain in this country and to remain in the area where he has already put down new roots.

I hope that Innocent will be given leave to remain. The human rights situation in the Congo is appalling and no one with a record of campaigning for democracy there is safe - especially if he has claimed asylum. He will be viewed as a traitor.

I cannot understand why we have such riduculously slack immigration laws with thousands of undeserving people sponging off of our economy when such a bright young individual who would be an obvious asset to our community is threatened with deportation. I think that genuine asylum seekers such as Innocent should be allowed to stay. Our democratic process is obviously in a sorry state if he is sent back to the Congo irrespective of the wishes of so many people who feel very strongly that he should stay.

Please intervene in Innocent Nkung's deportation. He has already been through some very horrific times in his life. To force him to go back to the Democratic Republic where he would face more horrfic times- even death would be blood on our hands.

It's high time Innocent's agonising wait was over - he should now be given permission to stay in UK
