Thousands stolen in armed robbery

THREE masked men stole thousands of pounds during an armed robbery at a unit on a Tameside industrial estate.
The men, wearing balaclavas, entered the unit on the Windmill Lane Industrial Estate, Denton shortly before 6.20pm on Sunday (25 November).
The gang were carrying machetes and baseball bats and demanded staff hand over the takings.
A substantial amount of cash was stolen and the three men then fled.
No-one was injured but the two members of staff who were threatened during the incident were left extremely shaken.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who has information about this incident to contact Tameside CID on 0161 856 9255 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
