Pair charged for priest assault

TWO more men have been charged after a priest was assaulted at his home in Ashton.
Paul Hands, 27, of Holebottom, Ashton and Andrew Hands, 25, of Atlas Street, Ashton have been charged with burglary and section 47 assault. They are due to appear before Tameside magistrates today (Friday).
The charges relate to an incident in which 37-year-old priest Fr Francis Wadsworth was assaulted during a burglary at his home on Burlington Street at about 7pm on 26 November 2007.
Stephen Hinchcliffe, 24, of Gambrel Bank Road, Ashton, was charged last week with burglary, section 47 assault and possession of a shotgun cartridge.
