Woman hurt in lorry crash

A WOMAN is in hospital following a collision with a lorry.

The 64-year-old woman collided with a lorry in Garden Street, Audenshaw, at about 12.30pm on Tuesday (18 December).

She became trapped under the vehicle near to the junction with Shepley Road.

The woman was taken to Tameside General Hospital, suffering from what has been described as serious fractures to her legs and she remains there in a stable condition.
