Have your say on future of education
30/ 1/2008
PARENTS and the local community are being encouraged to help shape the future of secondary education in Denton.
Under Tameside Council’s Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme, a new school will be established replacing the existing Egerton Park Arts College and Two Trees Sports College.
More than £25m is to be invested in the new school and the BSF team want to seek the views of parents and local people to help develop a vision for its future.
Four consultation meetings have been arranged to give everyone the chance to find out more and contribute their thoughts and ideas.
Two meetings will take place for parents and prospective parents at Denton Festival Hall, Peel Street, the first on Tuesday, 5 February 2008 from 5.30pm to 7pm and the second on 18 February 2008 from 1pm to 2.30pm.
Other members of the local community are invited to the festival hall next Wednesday, 6 February 6 from 1pm to 2.30pm and on February 20 from 6.30pm to 8pm.
