Arsonists torch taxi base

POLICE are hunting arsonists who torched a taxi office in Stalybridge.
Bridge Cars on Corporation Street was set ablaze between 1am and 1.25am on Friday.
The office was gutted in the attack and property including satellite navigation systems and car keys was destroyed.
Detective Constable Katie Murray, of Ashton CID, said: “The owner of this business has lost everything. He has had to move to another temporary premises. Fortunately nobody was injured, but this incident could have been much worse.
“I’m urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious before or after the fire to contact us on 0161 856 9252 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
