Man 'critical' after attack

A MAN has been arrested after a 31-year-old man was found with serious head injuries in Ashton.
Police were called to Platting Grove at about 11pm on Tuesday after reports of two men brawling in the street.
They arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of grevious bodily harm. He is currently in police custody.
The victim was taken to Tameside Hospital but later transferred to Hope Hospital where he remains in a critical condtion.
