Man shot on doorstep

A TEENAGER is recovering in hospital after being shot on his doorstep in the early hours of the morning.
The 19-year-old, of Wordsworth Road, Haughton Green answered a knock at the door yesterday at 1am to be confronted by three men.
He was beaten up before they fired a shot into his arm. The bullet is then believed to have ricocheted into the door frame.
Police cordoned off the area while inquiries were carried out, but confirmed the victim‘s injuries were not life threatening.

Beaten up on his doorstep and then shot .....
Maybe he will think twice before doing wrong again ????
With the soft sentences that the Courts dish out I would not be at all surprised to see an increase in this sort of thing !!!
