Steve Grant has written a song in memory of Kesha Wizzart
My song in memory of tragic pal Kesha

A FRIEND of a murdered teenager who had dreams of being a singer has written a pop song in her memory.
Schoolgirl Kesha Wizzart, a former contestant on TV’s Stars in Their Eyes, was killed alongside her younger brother Fred and mother Beverley Samuels last year.
Close friend Steve Grant, of Wakeling Road, Denton knew Kesha from their days at Trinity High School in Hulme, Manchester. Touched by her death, the 19-year-old music student channelled his grief into writing a song in her memory.
"I wrote it to let my grief out. I’d written a few things before, but this was the first time I felt I could write something from the heart. I met Kesha when we started at secondary school," he said.
"We were both in the choir together and both interested in singing and performing. She was really supportive, especially with my GCSE drama. The song is about what she meant to me and what a good friend she was. It’s a slow tempo ballad called Smile of an Angel."
With the first anniversary of Kesha's death approaching, Steve enlisted classmates at Trafford College to stage a concert, including his ballad.
The gig, Night of the Divas, which was held last week, was a celebration of Kesha’s life and talent as a solo singer.
Steve, who wants to go into a career in music, is now looking for a music producer to release his single.
