Hatton to open Hyde store

RETAIL Hardware to kitchenware supplier Wilkinson will open a new branch in Hyde next week, creating 63 new jobs. The new 10,000 sq ft store in Market Street will become the company's 343rd shop.
Boxer Ricky Hatton - who was born and raised in the area - will officially open the new premises on Wednesday. Store manager Theresa Clough said that she expects the new shop to benefit, as people increasingly look for products which offer value for money during the credit crunch.
"This store celebrates all that is good about Hyde, and Ricky Hatton is a fantastic patron of this community."
