A HUNT is underway after a 16-year-old girl was gang-raped in Ashton town centre.
The teenager was walking along Sackville Street, near the train station, at 9.30pm on Saturday when she was suddenly attacked.
She was grabbed from behind and lost consciousness after being dragged to the floor. The victim was taken to a nearby car park by four men, two of whom then raped her.
The first offender is described as white, 21-years-old, 6ft 2in tall and wearing a black Trespass coat. The second offender is described as mixed race, 27-years-old, 5ft 9in tall, of big build with a shaved head. The third offender is described as white, 24-years-old and of medium build.The fourth offender is described as white, 29-years-old and 6ft 4in tall.
Detective Constable Sarah McAlister, of Ashton CID, said: “These men have attacked a young girl who was out on her own and subjected her to the most disgusting attack.
“The attack happened in a busy area close to the train station and I am appealing to anyone that may have been out in the area at the time of the attack, or who recognises the descriptions of the offenders, to call police.”
