Three men bailed following Hyde blaze

A THIRD man has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of arson, following a flat blaze in Hyde which saw two elderly people jump to safety from an upstairs window.
Laurence and Mary Smith, aged 81 and 77 respectively, had to jump from a first floor window at their Oaklands Dene flat after a fire broke out in the early hours of August 29.
A police spokesman described Mr Smith as being in a critical condition in Tameside Hospital, after suffering burns and smoke inhalation injuries.
A man and boy, aged 19 and 13 respectively, were questioned and bailed by police originally. A third man - described as in his early twenties and local - has also been bailed pending further police inquiries.
