Boy kicked and punched in foiled phone theft

A SCHOOLBOY was kicked and punched in the face after he refused to hand over money and a mobile phone.

The 15-year-old was assaulted in an alleyway on Egerton Street, Denton, but managed to escape his attacker, also aged 15, without handing over his possessions.

The offender is described as white, of thin build, 5ft 7ins tall, wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, a light blue coat, dark school pants and he spoke with a local accent.

He was carrying a dark blue JD Sports bag with a yellow drawstring.

The incident occurred at 8.20am on December 11.
