Woman hurt in bag snatch

A WOMAN suffered arm injuries after a mugger tried to snatch her handbag.
The victim, aged 39, was carrying shopping bags along Park Parade in Ashton when she was attacked.
She managed to foil the robbery by clinging to railings and the culprit fled, but she suffered severe bruising to her arm and swollen fingers.
The offender is described as white, aged 16-17, 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build, short blond hair, thin, clean shaven face, wearing a navy blue track suit and dark shoes.
The incident occurred at 5.45pm on December 12.
