House blaze

FIRE investigators have been called in after a blaze at a house in Whiteacre Road, Ashton.

A 29-year-old man was rescued by fire crews using breathing apparatus after flames swept through the ground floor of his house on Saturday at 12.30pm.

The fire is believed to have been started maliciously.
