A SATSUMA brought one lucky Denton woman a £17,000 windfall.

Sarah Bevan guessed the correct answer to Galaxy 102 FM's 'Guess that noise' competition. After tuning in daily for weeks and studying the clues given by the presenter she finally guessed the mystery noise as a satsuma being peeled.

Sarah, pictured left, said: "I'd been phoning for a few weeks. I had no idea what the noise was, it didn't at all sound like a satsuma being peeled. I just suddenly guessed it through the clues.

"I had pulled over on my way to work to ring and when I said the answer it was quiet for ages and then I heard lots of shouting."

And Sarah's mum Pat, who told the Advertiser about her win, said: "It couldn't happen to a nicer person. I'm so glad she won, she's had a horrible year."

Sarah, 28, of Mill Lane, said: "You never think things like this happen to people like us. You always think it's going to be someone posh who already has lots of money."

The £16,750 prize money will be sent out to Sarah in the new year and she plans to spend it on a holiday and a family shopping spree.
