LITTLE Lily Bo Ogden was a Christmas Day surprise for her hairdresser mum, who wasn't expecting to meet her new baby daughter until the new year.
Born at 1.21am she just made it into the special day, much to mum Sarah's dismay
"I just thought, oh no not today. She wasn't supposed to come until 6 January," she said.
But the impatient tot wasn't prepared to wait and tipping the scales at 7lb 4oz, she introduced herself into the world at Tameside Hospital just as Santa was doing his rounds.
Despite the shock, Sarah, civil servant husband Ian, 30 and son Scott, 12, were all smiles back at their home on Greenside Crescent, Droylsden along with the family's newest addition, who was dozing peacefully.
The 28-year-old said being an expectant mum in the run-up to Christmas wasn't as much of an ordeal as she expected it to be.
"It was a quiet Christmas do at work though!" she added.
Dad Ian is already preparing for a mountain of presents to flood the family home this time next year.
He said: "Everybody's been saying to us that we should have a special extra birthday for her but we'll have to see how it goes. Maybe we can have her birthday in the morning and Christmas in the afternoon!"
