Neighbour from hell is jailed

A NEIGHBOUR from hell who mooned and flashed her breasts at passers-by has been jailed.

Fuelled by drugs, Janet Bailey, of Kings Walk, Droyslden, led an unconventional lifestyle with conditions inside her flat shocking housing officers, a court heard.

As well as damage, vandalism and graffiti inside, Bailey erected effigies of New Charter staff and other figures of authority in her garden, dressing them in old clothes.

Evidence gathered by enforcement chiefs catalogued parties at all hours of the day and night, shouting abuse, hammering on the ceiling of her ground-floor flat and exposing herself to locals.

A psychiatric report confirmed Bailey, 32, suffered from mental health problems but said her behaviour and risks were almost wholly attributable to her use of amphetamines. It was the latest in a string of breaches against an injunction imposed on her in August.

Bailey claimed the actions of New Charter were unfair and that she had done nothing wrong; however, she admitted taking amphetamines four times a week instead of buying food.

Sitting at Tameside County Court, district judge Craig Osborne sentenced her to eight months in prison and extended the injunction order until next December.

Martin Frost, New Charter deputy chief executive, said: "Bailey's behaviour may have been drug-fuelled but it is not an excuse the court accepted.

"The conditions inside her home are disgraceful and it will cost to repair the damage caused."

If the judge has extended her injunction, does that mean she is coming back here to Kings Walk when she gets out of prison? If that is the case then i want to move....we all have had too much abuse off her towards adults, children and animals. I have a 3 year old here that couldnt play out in her own garden in the summer because of the abuse, verbally and phsyically from Miss Bailey constantly at ourselves and other people. Also the noise during the night was atrocious. I am only writing this because in the article it does not say whether or not New Charter are going to let her back into the property when shes comes out which i would imagine will be in around 4 months? I think i speak for all concerned at Kings Walk, we do not want her back here, we have had enough abuse and noise etc for too long and now we have some peace and quiet we would like to keep it that way.
