GREATER Manchester Police have admitted their original probe into Harold Shipman was flawed.

In March and April 1998, the police carried out a probe into the Market Street medic's death rate in Hyde.

After four weeks it ended with the conclusion Shipman was guilty of nothing but an old fashioned approach to general practice.
