A CENTURY stand between professional Adam Robinson and stand-in skipper Steve Coulding put Dukinfield on course for a narrow five wicket victory over Denton at Higher King Street.
Deputising for the unavailable David Gandy, Coulding led from the front with a disciplined 55 as he and Robinson added 113 for the third wicket after two men had gone for 21.
The paid man reached 78, his best score of the season, before he was fourth man out with the score on 155 as Dukinfield eventually closed on 162-6 as Andrew Neill took 3-56 from 25 overs for Denton.
Robinson bowled well when the visitors replied, taking 3-20 in an accurate opening spell before ending with 3-43.
Martin Parker led the Denton reply with a superb 69 as he steered his side to within 12 runs of victory, only for Dukinfield to hit back as Imran Butt took 3-1 and saw Denton go from 151-7 to 157 all out in just under three overs, Butt finishing with 4-49.
