CURZON suffered their fourth defeat of the season with a result which saw the visitors move into second place, two points behind the Tameside outfit.
Donnelly opened the scoring for the visitors on 10 minutes before Mike Norton levelled the scores two minutes later.
Defensive frailties brought about Curzon’s downfall on 53 minutes as Murt put Skem back into the lead.
If Curzon are to maintain their hope of automatic promotion, then they will need to return from their visit to Wakefield on Saturday with maximum points while hoping that those immediately below them slip up.
