No need to sell

15/ 5/2008

RADCLIFFE Borough owner Bernard Manning Junior insists that the club will not be forced to sell star players like Craig Dawson and Steve Howson this summer.

Manning has had no luck in selling the financial stricken club since stepping down as chairman and putting the club up for sale in November.

And he insists that he is happy, alongside his fellow directors, to continue to help the club financially until he finds a buyer.

Manning says that he does not think Borough will be under any pressure to sell any players that they do not want to sell.

And he has revealed that plans are afoot to install Sky television and develop the club’s bar area, replace turnstiles and lighting and run pool and darts nights.

Manning has also stated that there will be no changes to the management team of Peter Coyne, Kevin Glendon and Ronnie Evans. And after Borough won the Manchester Cup and produced a good run of form to escape relegation from the UniBond League First Division North he believes that the club has the ‘basis of a squad to get into the top eight’ next season.
