CURZON Ashton boss Gary Lowe has reunited the 100-goal front pair which terrorised defences during the 2006/07 season.

With Mike Norton already at the Tameside Stadium, Lowe has captured Steve Moore after his season-long spell at Flixton.

While Moore’s time away from Curzon was injury-plagued, he still managed over 20 goals with Lowe optimistic he and Norton can have a fruitful partnership once again.

Lowe said: "We tried to sign Steve partway through last season, but it didn’t work out, so I’m delighted that we have been able to take him this time round.His arrival will obviously help Mike and I’m looking forward to seeing them both in action again."

There is also a new kid on the block with the arrival of teenage defender James Roth, who joins Curzon after a two-year spell with Macclesfield Town, becoming the 13th member of a squad seeking another shot at the UniBond Division One North title.

The club stages its first pre-season game when they host Nottingham Forest on Monday, July 28.  It was organised as part of the deal that saw Richard Tait join Forest earlier in the year.

Kick-off is 7pm with normal matchday prices applying.

Off the field, Curzon are also preparing for their six games during this summer’s European Learning Disability Championships.

They host the matches involving Holland and Germany, Poland and Sweden (both July 21), Hungary and France, England and Portugal (July 23), France and Portugal (July 26), Germany and Sweden (July 27) and a semi-final (July 30).

Admission will cost £2 for adults and £1.50 for concessions.
