Still tight at top of the first division

LAST week’s play in the Tameside Ladies Bowling League saw Tintwistle remain a point clear of Friezland A at the top of division one after both recorded 10-1.5 victories against Stalybridge Rec A and Diggle respectively.
There were 9-3 wins for Royton Park and Saddleworth against Stamford Park and Moorside respectively, while Uppermill were 8-4.5 victors over Carrbrook.
Division two leaders St Pauls saw off Cedar Park A 11-0, Hyde Park prevailed 9-4 at Riverside, Norths won 10.5-3 at Woodley, Etherow beat Fitzroy 8-4.5, while Cedar Park B and King Georges drew 6-6.
Division three pacesetters Dukinfield Park A were victorious, beating Victoria Park A 9-3, the margin of victory for Stalybridge Labour against Gamesley.
There were 13.5-1 wins for Grapes Hotel and Soroptimists at Haughton Green Ladies and Manor Park respectively, Friezland B won 10.5-3 at Victoria Park B, while Stalybridge Rec B beat Dukinfield Park B 8-4.5.
