Clinical first-half tries from Wakefield wing Semi Tadulala after 17 and 31 minutes had overturned Saints' early advantage secured via Paul Sculthorpe's second-minute try.
And Saints were then dealt a further blow midway through the opening period when Lee Gilmour was forced off through injury and Pryce saw a try chalked off by referee Ronnie Laughton for obstruction.
But they finally regained their potency shortly before the break when Sean Long found Pryce and the towering stand-off crashed over in the left-hand corner.
And six minutes after the restart Pryce emulated Tadulala by completing his brace after showing outstanding strength to squeeze his way over the line.
Hooper added the extras to extend Saints' advantage to 16-8 and after 51 minutes they further extended their lead when Pryce's outstanding burst and offload allowed Long to race clear from 20 metres.
Long added the extras to put Saints in firmly in command at 22-8 with further tries from Graham (2) and Pryce setting the seal on victory.
