Pollards poser on first day

ASHTON Cricket Club begin their 2005 Central Lancashire League campaign on Sunday, April 24 with an away trip to Oldham.

Their first home game comes six days later when they host Heywood as the season spans almost five months, eventually ending on Sunday, September 11 when they host Norden.

This year also sees Ashton face newboys Monton and Weaste who replace perennial strugglers Stand.
